Valentines Day
Happy Valentines Day all! This was the best Valentines ever I think. We had a small and simple Valentines... but I loved spending time with Travis and Adelyn. It kinda was a four day celebration for us. On Thursday night our stake had a Valentines Day dance and they offered babysitting... AWESOME! Trav and I cut up a rug and had so much fun just being goofy. He is a blast to be at a dance with. Then on Friday he had the HOPE choir boys come to my house and sing "Calendar Girl" for me and Adelyn. She was so shy while they were there. Being an ex- hopeee I loved it. That was one of my favorite memories... although I realized how embarrassing it was for the person receiving the song. On Saturday Trav had to work early in the morning. I woke up to an empty vase on the table with the note shown on this post. He sent me on a scavenger hunt through our house with text clues to find each individual rose. The final rose I got when I got "true loves kiss" (like Enchanted.. we watch that a lot because it is Addys favorite movie". When he came home he gave me a kiss and the final of the dozen pink roses. I loved it! We spent the day just hangin out as a family and kickin' valentines to Addys friends and family. Then that night the three of us had a candlelight dinner at our house. So it was simple but AWESOME. Like I said, the best valentines ever! I love my hubby and our daughter. The more I learn about Travis the more in love with him I become. You make me so incredibly happy honey. I am so lucky you chose me. Love you!

My Mr. Fix- it and Car Issues
Those of you who know Travis know that Engineering is not just his major... it is who he is. He is such a smarty pants and can fix anything... or come up with a way to fix it. I always said I wanted a Mr. Fix it. The timing belt went out on our old car. Travis said he would just fix. So any spare minute he got he was fixin the car. He got the timing belt fixed and then we found the water pump was out. So he decided it was worth a small amount of money to get it fixed so we could have our car back quicker... since he has little to no spare time with 2 jobs, school and family. We drove it to the mechanic who said he would fix it for an outrageous price. They also broke a belt.. I dont understand all the mechanics.. but wanted us to pay for it. They also charged us to look at. Travis just said the two cancelled out. We then had to pay for a tow truck to get the car. So.... we are back at square one. Frustrating for him. Just a lesson to us.... when it is broke, have Travis fix it.

Adelyn at 2 years old
I have realized lately that Adelyn is growin up. I love this stage of life... although it seems like I love every stage. I thought I would fill ya'll in on what she is up to nowadays!
She LOVES to dance. She asks me about 3-4 times a day to "dance on the carpet with me". So we put some music and twirl and twirl and twirl and twirl.... until we are dizzy and then we do it again. She actually is a great dancer. She dances to the beat really well. I guess she'll be a dancer like her momma!
She is always in a play dress. She got some play dresses from both Grandparents this Christmas and whenever she is home, she is in a play dress. Her poor Cinderellie (no pun intended) dress is torn to pieces at the top and the sleeves are the only thing that holds it up. She loves dress up.
She is such a girlie girl! She loves to talk on the phone. She HAS to have her fingernails painted, to likes to wear her gingerbread necklace (or any necklace for that matter), she LOVES shopping, she is always playing with her vanity set and doing her own hair or she is "cooking dinner' in her kitchen. She also likes to help me clean the house.
Adelyn is a book worm. She will go sit in her room and just "read" book after book. She loves when we read to her.
She has a broad vocabulary and she pronounciates so well. I sometimes forget I am talking to a 2 year old. Of course like all 2 year olds, she is great at copying what I say. It really has made me think about and try to change some of the things I say. She will tell about her day on the phone and sometimes she gives an accurate account.
Adelyn is such a friendly outgoing girl. She will talk to whoever, whenever. She is definately not shy. She loves to go to nursery and I have been lucky that she has never cried in nursery when we left. She just loves to play with kids her age!
She loves her Grandmas! She likes to have "tea parties" with Grandma Susie and she likes to go to the college to visit Grandma Rowley.
Her new thing is that she is "going to class"! I dont know what she'll do when Trav is done with school:)
We are so lucky to have such a spunky, fun, adorable, and beautiful girl! We love her so much!

So sorry it has been so long since I have updated. I dont even have Christmas posted. Christmas was wonderful. Adelyn had so much fun opening presents and being with cousins and family. Travis was so happy to have some time off of school and spent a lot of time taken care of me after my surgery. I felt really good on Christmas day which was so nice. Here are some pics of our Christmas.
