Two Dreams

I  am convinced we live in the best place on earth right now, which is why we are having such a hard time leaving and going back to Utah.  Not because of the weather (although it is the best weather in the world truly), not because of the beaches, not really because our school district is nationally ranked as one of the best, not because of the community feel here in the city, but because of the people in our ward.  They are the greatest.  They are so fun, so nice to everyone and strong in the church.  Many of them have been blessed with riches of the world, but are so down to earth, humble, and generous.  So we are struggling to leave it all.  We are been the most happy we have ever been as individuals, as husband and wife, and as a family.  That's really saying something.  Ever since we have got married we think, "life can't get better than this" and then it does get better.  We have been immensely blessed and are humbled by our blessings.  The Lord has taken us each and molded us to be better, to  desire better and to live better than before.  We have grown so much as a family. Our family is stronger, our relationships better, our lives richer and overall we are happier than we have ever been.  But, we always said we would live in Cedar City to raise our kids. We want our kids to have the "small town experiences" we had, to live close to our parents and families, and we want to own a home. That has been our driving goal and what we pictured for our lives.  But we a living a whole new dream.  A  great and wonderful, exciting dream.  One which we never thought possible.  And now, we are torn between two awesome dreams. Two different directions. Two different lifestyles. Two different paths.  Both great, just different.  We don't know what to do.  We are going to be so sad to leave the people, the adventures, the lifestyle, the opportunities we have here.  We are very anxious to move back.  We have changed.  Our families have changed.  Cedar City has changed.  And most often than not, we don't know what we will do for entertainment when we go back.  It has been 3 years since we lived there and we are not sure that Cedar City is the life for us. We felt very strongly about buying the house we did in Cedar and we know it was right to buy it. We just don't know if it is right to live in it right now.  So hopefully in the next month or two we will know which direction to go. Which path to take and then dream a whole new big dream!  I love my husband who has taught me to dream big and never quit dreaming.  He has met all my dreams and then exceeded them.  I realize the dream I had for my life was puny compared to the life he and the Lord have blessed me with. 

Potty Trained

My baby is now fully potty trained.  No more buying diapers.  It is bitter/sweet for me.  He has been potty trained during the day for the last month, but the last couple of days he is potty trained at night.  Here he is posing with his "pottyhis kid trained prize".  Love this kid!  Cant believe how grown up he is. 

Adelyns Concert

Instead of a graduation, Adelyn's school does a concert for each grade.  Adelyn was so excited for the concert and had been practicing the songs the entire week before the concert.  Her favorite songs were

"I am a pizza" and "I got eaten by a Boa Constrictor". She did a great job!  Man I love this girl.  Cannot believe we are at the close of her Kindergarten year.

Chili Peppers

Tonight was my last soccer game.  I am going to miss playing and learning the sport.  My friend Nikki got me in a beginners league and I fell in love with the sport.  Since we will be leaving for the month of June/July I had to forfeit my position on the team to a friend.  Having never played or even watched a real soccer game, so I thought I did pretty well.  I scored 2 times during the two seasons I was there.  I know it sounds pathetic...... but I was proud of myself.  Most, if not all, of these "beginners" played soccer in high school and also still play in other leagues, so for me to score against them was a big deal. Soccer in SD is a big deal.  Everyone plays the game.

  I hope when I move back to Utah I will be able to find or form a co-ed soccer team/league as well.  Good memories!

The last? SD Temple trip

When we get bored on Sundays we take a little 20 minute drive down to the gorgeous SD Temple.  Our kids love being on the Temple grounds.  Here are a couple pics we took of the kids.

Mothers Day 2013

We were able to spend Mothers Day with our Mothers this year as we were up in Cedar caring for our house. It was so much fun to see families and tell our Moms face to face Happy Mothers Day. It has been 3 years since we have done that. We left on a Thursday and on Friday Addy's class was doing their annual Mothers Day Tea Party. Adds as sure bummed and sad we would not be there for the play they had been working really hard on. So her teacher let me go to the play on Wednesday. It was adorable. When we got home from school, Addy asked me to sit on our couch and she gave me her present she made. She made a plate with a picture of she and I under the rainbow. She took the plate and put on a cheese string, a granola bar, and then she washed strawberries and put them on. She brought the plate over and asked me to eat it. It was so sweet! I am so grateful for Addy and grateful for the privilege she gave me to be a Mom and the blessing it is to be her Mom. Travis surprised me Moms day morning with a mini IPad and the kids got me some beautiful flowers. We were able to go to see Travs mom Mothers Day morning and visit with them. After church we had a BBQ with Monica and her family, Lucas and his Family, Chase and his family, and Brennan/Lindsey. I am so grateful for all the mothers in my life. for their life, influence, and examples!

We BOUGHT a HOUSE

We have been in the long process of buying a house. We have had an offer on a short sale at a stellar price, but it felt small and was not our dream home. We went back and forth but kept the offer in for 10 months and then the banks finally approved it! We had been praying and searching and looking at other houses but no other house in the same chosen area had the same value as this house. So we bought the house. It was crazy buying a house in another state then we were in, but we felt super great about it. When all was said and done and we went back up a few weeks later to get the keys and move our stuff from storage, we both were thrilled with our purchase. Still no solid plans to move back to Cedar City, but I'm going say it will be soon! Ahhhhh!!!! We are HOMEOWNERS!!!
