28 Weeks!

I am 28 weeks today!  I cannot believe how fast this preganacy is going.  It seems like a month ago we found we were having twins.  Maybe it has been because since then we have been preparing.   Preparing ourselves, our kids, the nursery, the clothes, blankets, house, etc.  This last week I have certainly felt the need and desire to slow down now and rest more.  I can tell I am 28 weeks preggo with twins.  My belly has grown so much in the last month.  Although it is so hard for me to relax being the busy body that I am, it is more important I have two healthy babies.  The kids are both getting really excited and Addy is anxious to help me feed, bathe, and play with the babies.  Boston is just so excited to have brother.  I am so grateful we are able to have these babies.  We tried for a long time to have more kids and honestly it has turned out more than perfectly for our family.  It will be hard, but we are so thrilled to grow our family and have another girl and boy in our family!  I am huge (weigh more now already than I did at delivery with either of my other two) but I have had to let that worry go and embrace it and enjoy being preganant with them.  I know I need to get a lot bigger for them to be well and am trying my best.  Im sure more pictures will soon follow.

Science Fair

Adelyn participated in her first science fair!  It was optional and she was so excited to be a part of it.  She came up with her own idea and made her own chart by herself.  I am one proud momma. She decided to recreate the water cycle by warming up water in ice trays which created condensation which then created precipitation.   She was so excited she couldn't sleep the night before. Love my little scientist!

My boy is 4

I cannot believe my baby is 4 years old!  He had 3 birthday celebrations this year.  We celebrated with the Youngs on Sunday because Grandpa Darrell was here.  We had taco salad at our house and of course cake and ice cream.  And of course he opened his present from them which was a bubble leaf blower complete with lots of bubble bottles.  Then on Tuesday he took cupcakes to school and they celebrated there.  Then on his birthday, he opened is present in the morning (hot wheels track). That night we had dinner at Pizza Factory and then came home and had more cake and ice cream and opened presents. This was the first birthday Boston can remember that he was able to celebrate with family.  He was so excited and was soaking up having all the family around.  He wanted a planes cake and so we had his primary teacher (Kim Roy) make him a planes cake.  He loved it.  Four has been kinda rough for us so far.... I think with all the changes that are coming to our family.  But my heart melts for my baby boy.  I LOVE that he is all BOY!  I love his fun personality and everyone who knows him just loves him.  He has a little "girlfriend" at school named Bristol, he rides his truck all day, lives to do anything outdoors, loves all sports (but especially basketball) and is enthralled with monster trucks and cars.  He is such a good brother to Addy and they continue to be each others best friends.  I just love him so much and am so blessed he was given to me to raise.  Happy Birthday Boss!

Gender Reveal

We found out today what gender our twins are!! I nervous because I knew Addy wanted a sister and Boston told us that if we had two girls he would "go in his room and cry."  All four of us headed to the hospital as soon as Addy got out of school. We were all excited and nervous. I had called Lin's Marketplace earlier that day and asked them to make two cakes (one for each baby) and make the filling either pink or blue if it was a girl or boy.  The babies looked very healthy and naturally the girl (baby A) was moving all over the place.  The kids were so fascinated to see the babies.  We told the ultrasound tech about our intention to not find out and so when it came time to find out the gender of the babies and check their parts, she turned the screen off so we couldn't see.  We gave the ultrasound tech the number to Lin's and an hour later Travis went to pick up the cakes (we were both afraid I would peek).  It was so hard for me to not know, but he was determined not too.  Grandma and Grandpa Rowley, Lucas and Candace, Brennan and Lindsey, and Jenny and Sterling were all here.  We skyped with Susie, Monica, and Nick and Bridgette.  Addy and I cut the first cake together.  It was a BOY!!!!  I was completely relieved.  Travis and Boston cut the other cake open and it was a GIRL!!!  Each of us in our family felt so overwhelmed with happiness and relief!  The score is even and we couldnt/wouldnt have wanted it any other way.  We are so excited for a brother and sister to join our family.  Now the preparations begins!!!

Christmas 2013

We are so excited to spend Christmas in our own home this year!  The kids slept in the same room together and in the morning (7:00 am) after we had family prayer we all snuck into the living room where Santa had left lots of toys.  Adelyn got the easy bake oven she wanted and a new bike with a baby seat for her American doll.  Boston got he Big Blue Truck he has been telling everyone Santa is bringing him since November.  The superman Boss is holding up is the present Adelyn bought Boston and he bought her a Rainbow loom set.  They were so excited to give each other gifts which was so sweet.  It was awesome to spend Christmas morning together as own family in our own home.  Later we did go to Grandma and Granpa Young and Rowley's home where the kids got too many toys.  Boston even said at G and G Youngs "there's just too many to open."  He was right... they were spoiled.  Travis surprised me and got me a Kitchen Aid and I surprised him (the best I could) and got him a Snowboarding coat.  So grateful for the birt of our Savior and all that he has blessed us with.  We are grateful to celebrate the holiday with family.  Our hearts are full. Merry Christmas

Santa

Santa came to Boston's preschool and he got to sit on his lap. He of course told Santa that he wanted a big blue truck and it needed to be a 4X4.  He was not afraid of Santa and just sat right up there.  Here he is talking to Santa with some friends from his preschool class

Adelyn's dance recital

Although Adelyn is a gymnast at heart, I really wanted her to take a dance class.  I think dance and gymastics help each other out a bit and I wanted her to try something different this year.  She and I came to a compromise that she would join a dance class that also had gymnastics once a week as well.  She is learning a lot and I think she likes it more that she wants to admit (after all, she is dancing throughout my house all. the. time.).  She had her first dance recital of the year and did a great job.  I am so proud of her and she has amazing stage presence.  She loves to be the center of attention and is not shy on stage.  Plus she is the most gorgeous girl out there. Here's some pictures of my little "dancing queen."
