The Greens came to visit!

My sister Shonell and her adorable family came to San Diego and stayed with us for a couple days the weekend we got home from our Utah vacation.  It was so fun to see them.  We decided to go to Sea World the first day they were here.  We were laughing because Adelyn was giving everyone a blow by blow of what happens in the dolphin/bird show (we had season tickets in Florida and now we have them in here).  Sea World has a little Seasame Street playground area that the kids really loved.

The next day we all went down to Mikes Aunt Kathy's house.  She was very gracious and made us a delicious breakfast.  The kids all enjoyed her pool and she had a gigantic room full of trains.  The kids just watched the trains for quite a while. I have to admit, I was enthralled in the trains too.

The Swim "Team"

Adelyn took swimming lessons while we were in Cedar City from my good friend Mandy.  She used to teach lessons for the city, but recently got a big pool in her back yard and so she taught them there.  Adelyn absolutely loved them this time.  I think it really helped her to have other kids to take the lessons with.  She is a little mermaid now and loves to swim!  She can make friends instantly wherever she goes, and swim lessons was no different.  She became besties with a girl named Nikelle.  Nikelle's mom and I also became instant best friends.  It was kinda crazy.  We knew so much about each other after only 2 weeks:) Mandy was a wonderful teacher and Adelyn had a blast. Thanks Mandy!

Aladdin at Tuachan

Adelyn and I were able to go to Tuachan twice when we were in Utah. We went the first time with Grandma Marsha and Lindsey.  We went to dinner first at Texas Roadhouse and laughed and laughed. Aladdin was awesome and you cant beat the scenery.

We went a second time to Aladding with Grandma Susie, Sterling and Jenny.  We were barely late however because there was an accident on the freeway that closed the roads down.  It was cool to see the changes in the play from one night to the next.  We feel so blessed to be able to go with both families and made memories with both.

Young Family Reunion

We all traveled up to Utah for the Sam and Bertie Young Family Reunion at Rocky Mountain Raceway.  It was so wonderful to see many of Travis' Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, and especially Grandparents.  We LOVED the car races!  Boston was in seventh heaven when they began, but got restless after a while.  He loves cars, trucks, loud noises, fireworks, etc all of it, but it lasted too long for him.  Adelyn was just loving seeing all people (Grandma's and cousins to play with: Ava, Rudger, Sadie, etc..  )  She too LOVED the cars when it first started, but did not so much like the loud noises.  I am so grateful we were able to be there and see everyone.

While we were up there, we stopped by and saw Uncle Nick and Aunt Bridgette's apartment in the Brigham Young apartment complex.  They seem to be really happy and it was great to go walk the Salt Lake Temple grounds which are literally down a block and across the street.  We went to City Creek Center area, but because it was Sunday, EVERYTHING was shut down.... even the fountains.

We then all drove down to Colby and Toni's house in Saratoga Springs.  It was so fun to see them too!  Adelyn of course was so excited to Reagan and to play with her.  They played all day long and then we took the trip down to Cedar City.

Travis left us in Cedar for 3 weeks the next and came back to San Diego to work:(  We missed him so much!

4th of July 2012

We spent the 4th of July with the Rowley Family in Utah.  We went to the traditional 5 gaps in between 4th of July parade and the kids ran the races.  It was so great to see so much family and friends again. Hope you all had an awesome 4th of July!

Chopped

I chopped my hair off!  I cut off about 8 inches of hair and I love it!!  Thanks Lindsey
