Grandma Janet, Aunt Dee, and Aunt Dolly

I am so very behind on the thank you notes and you guys have sent us so much for our little Boston and sweet Adelyn. I wanted you to be sure we have got what you have sent us and we are truly grateful. It seems I send one thank you card and then the next day get something else in the mail from you and so I am so behind and not quite sure when the thank you's will get sent. I wanted to be sure you guys all know how grateful we are. Thank you for the money, the birthday presents, the bracelets, the towels and washcloths, the earrings, and the list goes on. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Let us know when you get the mail we sent you yesterday. Sorry it took so long. The CD has all pictures for your birthday present for you to put on your digital screen Grandma. We love and miss you all! Thanks again.

Grandpa Bill and Grandma Bertie meeting Boston

Grandma Bertie and Bill came down to see Boston!  It was so great to see them both and have them come visit. They have such a way of making you feel so special. Adelyn made them and Grandpa Darrell play Princess Bingo. They had to learn their princesses fast. Here is some precious pictures of the first time Grandma Bertie met and held Boston.

The latest and Greatest

One of the best things about having more than one kid is to watch them interact with each other. I wished I had a picture of the first time Adelyn and Boston "played together" since he hasnt been able to actually see her till now. She was moving his hands up and down and he just looked at her, calm and content as ever. Adelyn started to talk him and he kept his focus on her. They did this for about 10 minutes. It was so cute. I love it! Speaking of things I love, here are some pics of Adelyn as of late.

She loves playing dress up!

Loves watching Super Why

and this is our neighbor the Mitchell's little girl.  She was born shortly AFTER Boston.  Look at the size difference!

Boston at 1 month

This is what we have learned about Boston:
1. He loves to eat
2. He weighs about 7 pounds
3. Just like Adelyn, he gets bored very easy
4. He still has his blue eyes....I am crossing my fingers they stay blue
5. He loves taking a bath. It soothes him.
6. He gets warm very easy.
7. He likes to get out and about. This still makes me nervous so he cries a lot because we stay home.
8. He recognizes Adelyn's voice and when she is talking he looks around to find her
9. He is a light sleeper. He sleeps with his eyes half open, half closed.
10. He likes to have his diaper changed. He and Adelyn both hated when they had wet diapers.
11. He's kinda a momma's boy. I love it because Adelyn is such a daddys girl right now

Strong Personalities!

SassY

I love the process of getting to know my children. Adelyn has a strong personality and she is so fun and spunky.... or sassy! You never have to guess whats on her mind, cuz she'll just tell you. We have really had to learn to limit/alter our vocabulary with her because she will repeat anything. She adores Boston and each day she is realizing I still love her. The other day she got in the car and told my mom and bro. Nick that "my house is boring. My dad is so grumpy today and mom is just sleeping". They were rollin on floor laughing. Where does she come up with these things? It scares me for when she is a teenager.
I am finding Boston has a strong personality also. He is so expressive with his face. When he is irritated (usually when it gets too loud) his eyes shift back and forth from side to side. It is hilarious. He HATES his car seat, but like Adelyn he likes to go fast in the car. His schedule is more of a 48 hour schedule than a 24 hour one meaning every other night I get NO sleep and the next night I get TONZ of sleep...odd! Like Adelyn was, he HATES having a wet diaper. Poop he can handle, wet though, no go! A new thing I have learned the hard way is milk upsets his stomach. I drink a ton of milk so this is killing me. He also doesnt do very good with ice cream, but he can handle cheese and eggs. The guy is 6 lbs we found out today at his check up.  I love getting to know my kids.
