Swimming Lessons

The kids took swimming lessons in Parowan while were we visting since we figured they are much cheaper than in San Diego and since the kids would be swimming a lot in SD, it was a good idea.  Especially for Boston who literally has no fear of  the water.  In fact he was put in a class that was with 7 and 8 year olds in the 3 foot, but he cant touch.  I had to corral him to the stairs and I NEVER left the side of the pool where he was.  The teacher, the lifeguards, and I were always stressed about him, but he just wanted to swim in the water.  He dives into the water, holds his breath, and actually swims under water..... but then he doesnt know how to keep afloat when he comes up for air.  Adelyn was an over-acheiver as usual and had a blast. She also of course made some friends immediately so class was social time for her as well.  The best part of swim lessons for each of them though was jumping off the diving board.  I love they have some memories in the same place I have my greatest summer memories.... the P town pool.

Sister Veater

My awesome niece Avery has made the decision to go on a mission and we were lucky enough to be there when she opened her call.  She is going to Mexico City, Mexico.  She is so excited and we are thrilled for her.  She leaves the week before Thanksgiving.  She will make such a great missionary and is such a good example for so many of us around her.  I have such a special place in my heart for the Veater girls.  I spent some time living with him and have always had a unique bond with each of them.  So proud of her..... even though we will miss her like crazy.  I love that she has the confidence, will power, and determination to follow through with what she knows and believes is right.  It will be awesome to have a missionary in the family again. Sister Veater ......has such a good sound to it.

SUU Gymnastics camp

It is no secret Addy loves gymnastics and she is  pretty good at it, so I put her in a two week camp from SUU while we were in Cedar visiting.  She loved that she got to learn from SUU gymnasts and she got to use their equiptment.  I am not sure she learned a whole lot, other than some people are really intense in the sport at such an early age.... but she had fun!  Love my little gymnast!!

Tuachan

It has become a tradition for us to go to Tuacahn every summer and see the shows.  We were able to go see Starlight this year with the Rowley girls. The show was done on roller skates and was about trains. We went school clothes shopping for Addy and Ryley as well. We had tons of fun. We also went to Mary Poppins with the Young family and my mom. It was a great show as well. We love this tradition. We cant wait 'til next year!

July 4th 2013

Growing up the fourth of July meant decorating bikes to ride in the parade, BBQ's and fireworks! This year did not disappoint. Addy, Boston and Ty decorated their bikes to ride in the parade.  During the parade Ty decided he would of like to ride behind the drill team, Addy rode her bike the whole way, and once Boston saw the candy on the road he quit riding his bike and decided to pick up all the candy.  It was a hoot.  I love these kids.  We spent the rest of the day with the Youngs at the Cedar park eating KFC, climbing walls, throwing balls at dunk tanks and laughing the day away.  We ended up not watching fireworks because the kids were wiped out.  It was a memorable fourth.
