Halloween 2010

Man did we celebrate Halloween this year. 4 times over. It was a blast. Our friends had a Halloween party at their house on Friday night. Katie had games for the kids and Adelyn loved it. I didnt take a pic of me and the kids this time because our costumes were the same except I was fairy godmother. Trav put on his full grim reaper costume but couldnt walk out of the driveway. Saturday afternoon we bundled up Adelyn (it was freezing here) and she and I headed out the door with our neighbors Lydia and Kristen. Later Aunt Jenny brought up Rudger to go trick or treating with us also. We hit up most the houses in Sunset and Adelyn ended up with more candy than she could eat (Trav volunteered to help her out) and very tired legs by the time it was over. That night we went up to Parowan for dinner (hots dogs and chili) and hung out there. Aunt Bridget and Uncle Nick came down for the weekend so it was especially fun to get to see them. We then all came back to Lucas and Candaces and the YOUNG adults went to the SUU Haunted House. My first experiance with a haunted house. Trav led the way and I hid my face in his back the whole time. Nick was behind me and was FREAKING out the whole time. My shoulders hurt so bad because we ended up walking in a train. I was not as scared as I thought I would be. That was how we celebrated. Hope you all had a spooky and fun Halloween too!

SUU Trick or Treat!

So my adorable friend Diane and I have made it an annual tradition to go to SUU and trick or treat with the kiddos to the Grandma's and Grandpa's (and hit up a couple of the schools depts. as well). This year was such an adventure as we had 6 kids under the age of 5 with us. But, the kids loved it and we survived!

Stop The Clock

Lately I have been so saddened by how fast my little (actually my chunky) little man is growing up. He weighs 18 pounds 10 oz now and is in the 33 percentile. For this I am grateful because it was quite a shock and scare for me when I saw a 4 for the first number of his birthweight. He is SOOOOO CLOSE to crawling. I give it a week. Trav says 2 weeks. He is teething and the poor little guy didnt sleep for about 3 weeks straight. Once I started getting Tylenol in him he's slept a little better. Poor guy. He rolls and can melt the heart of any girl with is adorable gummy smile. The thing that has me pretty sad is that he is done nursing. He started to prefer bottles about 3 weeks ago and now he wont nurse. Yesterday was the first day I went all day without nursing him, and neither he nor I skipped a beat. Hes growing up! Time for another one?????

Adelyn is my teenage daughter. She loves to show anyone who will watch her "dance moves" she is learning in dance. She absolutely loves school. 5 is the magic number as of late. It seems to her when you turn 5 you can do anything- like go to kindergarten like her friends Owen and Kinlee. She will be sad when she turns five and cant go to kindergarten for another 6 months. She tells us now that we cannot move unless Grandma Marsha can move with us. Grandma Marsha says Trav and I will sure miss Boston and Addy when we have to leave them with us. We will see how it all turns out but I think both of them will be disappointed.

Trav had a interview with Boeing. Now we just wait. I am getting used to the idea of moving.... which means we prob. wont. But I have realized we really do have a wonderful life here. Either way....although money would be a nice thing to have. What would Trav and I do if we had money? No, we have been extremely blessed with nicer things than just the neccessities and we are so grateful.

Happy Halloween planning!!

October 2010

Just a couple of new updates. Boston rolls all over the place now. He will roll from room to room. I guess its replacing his lack of crawling for now. He is showing no interest in crawling. He wont stay on his belly long enough to figure out how to crawl. Hes right on his back. Hes sleeping through the night now.... thank heavens! His tongue is always hanging out of his mouth (like Addys was) and now he will lick his lips when he is hungry. He says "hey" when he first sees you. His first word was Addy. And then Daddy came shortly after. He is such a joy in our lives. I love him to pieces.

Adelyn is still growing and getting smarter and smarter as the days go by. She is outsmarting me. I need to be more cleaver. Shes been playing a lot with her new friend Gabby (which Travis is thrilled she finally has a friend who is girl to spend her days with.) She absolutely loves dance and school and Thursdays are affectionately known as "Addy day." She will be 4 next month. I cant believe it.

Travis is still applying for jobs. He has interview with Boeing next week and I am actually thrilled at the idea of moving.... and actually making money????

Meanwhile I started working about 2 weeks ago. I am working with the school district at a program for middle school and high school aged students who cannot or have chosen not to be in mainstream classrooms. I love it and am finding I actually can do math. It has been so fun to actually use my brain again and get back to work. It has been an adjustment though. It works out perfect because Trav gets off work at 2:30 and I go in at 2:30 so our neighbor watches them for the 10 minute lapse. I also dont work holidays, Fridays or weekends. So it is really ideal for us. Anyway thats my update. Hopefully I will be bloggin our Halloween. Stay tuned!!!
