NEWness!!!

Is Newness a word? Well in S. Utah we believe if you can spell it, it is a word. We accepted a job in FLORIDA state on Friday January 29th. I was not sure how I would feel about leaving my native land, but I am so excited. I need something NEW! Don't get me wrong, I love the people and will miss my family and friends desperately. But I am ready for a change. I am ready for the next chapter in our lives as a family. I am excited to live in the sun, in a new area, to see how the church is in a different place, to grow even closer to my husband and kids, and mostly to have a new and fresh perspective of life. The job is minimum of 6 months and at maximum a year.... just the perfect for me right now. I am so excited to take this adventure with my little family and so proud of my hubby! I know I will miss family, many friends, and the definately the mountains. Florida here we come. (P.S. Please keep the alligators and hurricanes away from us!!!)

Oh BOY!

Boston is 11 months old... I cannot believe it. This last year has gone by so fast for us. Here is what he is up to now...

1. He LOVES the light sockets. I put plugs in and he's learned how to take them out as well as all the nightlights. It scares me to death. He will walk sideways with hands along the wall and walk to plugs and say "uuh uh uuh uh" because he knows he's not supposed to touch them.

2. I have been a little worried about his vocabulary (probably because Addy was speaking in full understandable sentences by now). He now says "uh Uhhh" (his favorite), dada, Addy, Hey, Bye bye, hi and when he gets really tired and whiney he will say mama (but no other time will he say mama- he's such a little tease).

3. He LOVES to play catch. He can throw the ball and when he catches it he raises his hands in the air for touchdown, or he will give you high five, or he will clap for himself.

4. He loves trucks also. He learned so quickly how to vibrate his lips to make the sound of a truck as he pushes it around. That must be an innate boy thing.

5. He will stand by himself, but when he realizes it he will sit down. He will walk holding hands or behind his little truck he got for Christmas, or his favorite thing to walk with: the chairs in the kitchen. He moves them all over the kitchen, despite the fact they have fallen on top of him a couple of times.

6. He is very persistant! He only wants to play with the things I tell him he cant and I have never seen a more persistant child to get what he wants when he wants it.

7. He has a temper. He will cuss a bunch of mumble jumble under his breath or he will outright scream at me when I take away something he wants.

8. He is in size five diapers and 12-18 month pants. The 12 month is for the length cuz his legs are so short (genetics) and the 18 month is because his thighs and butt are so huge (I guess that could be genetics too! LOL)

9. His best friend is Addy. He loves to play with her and especially be in her room playing with her stuff (mostly because he shouldn't be).

10. He has 2 teeth now and is definately getting more. He is not sleeping much lately so I am taking him today to see if he has an ear infection. Anyway 2 teeth the front 2 on the bottom. So cute to see him smile.

11. He eats ANYTHING!!!!! I really mean anything. It is a blessing after having such a picky little eater in Addy, and a curse because he picks up everything on the floor and sticks it in his mouth. His new favorite food is yogurt though. He will try anything though.

12. He's learning about the sippy. I will be taking his bottle away in about 3 weeks so since he loves to eat formula and from about 9 months till now that is mostly all he has eaten, we are trying to introduce the sippy. He goes to sleep with his bottle so one weekend or weekday when I dont work I will have to attempt putting him to sleep without a bottle. This will be painful I know... for both of us. I also will be introducing milk sometime this week.

Thats all folks!

Update for the Scrapbook

So I got very behind on my kiddos and their updates.

Boston is currently:

1. crawling all over the place and into everything. Yesterday I went to help Addy with something and came back and the boy was caught with the toilet brush in his hand and the caddy to brush laying on the floor next to him. Imagination, dont start working now~!

2. Pulling himself up to everything. The couches, the chairs in the kitchen (which have fallen on top of him a couple of times), the toybox, the beds, chest of drawers, shelves, you name it and he will be found standing in front of it. Not only that he is getting very brave and will let go completely for a couple of seconds.

3. Standing on his own: He will stand on his own for about 10 seconds but hasn't caught grasp of the fact that you need to go forward to walk. I think when he realizes this, off he will go.

4. Frowning: He developed this new look a few days ago. He furrows (is that a word) his eyebrows and man if looks could kill, I would have been a goner a long time ago. You can always tell when he is dissatified because like his mother, you can read his face like a book.

5. Making truck sounds: whenever is playing with a truck or car he will vibrate his lips to make a running truck sound. So adorable!

6. Teething: Boston got his fhttp://www.blogger.com/irst tooth in December. It is the middle bottom tooth. I love his smile because out pokes this one and only tooth. He is working on getting a couple more.

7. Early Riser: ok so I have been a lucky mom because Adelyn has always been a big fan of sleep and will sleep til 8:30 or 9 in the morning. Not Boss! He thinks 6 am is time to rise and shine. I am not so shiny that early in the morning.

8. Talking: well.... he's definately not as verbal as his sister was but he will scream at us a lot. He will say dada when he mad and mama when he's sad. Other than those times, good luck getting him to actually say much.

9. Waving: He will wave bye-bye now. I love it! Between that and Addy's sceptors its the best send off to work a mom could ask for.

10. Throwing: He will throw the ball to you now. He is still a ball-hog but I think over time that will change a bit (I hope).

11. Laughing: He and Addy have the best times together. She will laugh at him and he will at her for laughing and the cycle will repeat for quite a while.

12. Tilting: He tilts his head to side.... usually he's being snoopy. Man my boy is way more snoopy and into things my daughter was never in to (like the light sockets).

13. Shaking: He will shake his head "no" to me when he gets caught doing something he knows he shouldn't (like playing by the light sockets!)

14. Our boy Boss: and man do we all adore him!

Addy is currently:

1. Playing: Spends her days playing "house" with dress ups, kitchen sets, and whatever else she can find.

2. Watching: Barbie and the Diamond Castle EVERYDAY!!!

3. Sceptors: Those of you who haven't been to our house in the last 6 months should know before ANYONE leaves our house, Addy has to give them a sceptor. Grandpa Darrell asked her once what it was for and she said "it keeps you safe." So other than that I can't tell you anything about what a sceptor is.

4. Loving: she mauls her brother. She just loves him and is so glad is getting bigger so he can actually play a little with her.

5.Spoiled: She got so many Christmas presents from everyone that she is overwhelmed with all the toys she got and goes from one to next pretty darn fast.

6. Helper: She is a little mommy. She lets me know when Boss is in trouble and she is quick to point out that I need to clean the house.

7. Verbal: She continues to say the funniest things. Example, last night when I got home from work she said to me "hello mother. How was your day at work." I replied that work was good. I asked her what she had been doing and she said "just playing with father.!" Simply HIlarious things everyday. She is continually ,making me laugh.

8. Dancing: She will dance whenever there is music and she absolutely loves it. She is also still in her dance class which she loves.

9.  I love this girl so much!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year- A litte late

I am so late getting this post up, but I wanted to write about our Christmas and New Year because this blog has become my scrapbook until I get the time, money, energy to actually scrapbook it all.

We spent Christmas Eve with the Young's this year. We had a nice dinner, read the Night Before Christmas and the birth of our Savior and had the delightful Snowballs (this has become one of my favorite traditions... one we will definately keep going.) Adelyn and Boston got PJ's from G&G Young and from us. We went home and put the kids to bed.

Boston woke up around 7 and we woke Adelyn up at about 7:30 or 8:00 (I enjoy this because I have a feeling sleeping this late on Christmas morning might not last very long.) Adelyn was so happy to find Santa brought her a bike and Boston started to crawl as fast as his knees would go to find his car and his truck waiting for him. They were so fun this year. Adelyn especially just glowed.

Adelyn has since become afraid of her bike and the weather here is not condusive to getting her on the bike more to show it will be ok.

New Years Eve we spent with Chase and Keisha and we ate Calzone's at our house and then played games. We put our kids to bed and then hung out just talking to Chase and Keisha for awhile. I am so glad we haven't moved yet so we could get to know Keisha a little better. We adore them both.... as we do all my siblings and their spouses. It was so fun! We of course watched the ball drop (that is New Years Eve to me) and then we went to bed.

All in all it seemed like our holidays were relaxing and chill. Both Travis and I spent the whole time sick fighting off one bug or the other, but we were lucky enough to just enjoy the time being together.
