Del Mar Racetrack

It might be because I was raised in small town country, but I have been so excited to go to the Del Mar Racetrack since we came to San Diego.  Susie came down and stayed with us for a week, so on Sunday we went for a drive and what do you know, we ended up at the racetrack.  Here are some pics we took while we were there.

ICE ICE AND MY BABY

Travis took me Ice Skating for the first time!  We had such a blast and found that it was us, and the teeny boppers that liked the skating rink on a Friday night.  We also found out they have Hockey games and Ice Skating competitions there also.  We will definately have to hit up some of those.  Travis tried to tell me he was no good at ice skating, but he always says he is not good at something and then turns out to be a pro.  He was literally skating circles around me.  Plus, Canada = skating..... I should have known better.   I only fell down a couple of times, and of course I was not going that fast so it really did not hurt that much:)  It was just so much fun to hang with just him again and act like dorks.  Thanks Susie for watching our kiddos!

September Update

September in a nutshell.

Adelyn

Adelyn is getting used to going to school and getting used to Mrs. Traverso, her teacher.  She LOVED Mrs. Reid and Mrs. Traverso has a different way of doing things, so it has taken Adelyn a little bit longer to like her teacher.  She has made a ton of friends (no surprise there) specifically Anndalyn, Yoslene, Audrie, Gabby.  She loves to watch Curious George and her teacher has her classroom themed around Curious George this year.  Her teach said to me "I love teaching Adelyn.  She is so curious about everything."  And she is.  She loves to learn. Adelyn now writes her name in lower case rather than upper case, is writing numbers, and she is a rockstar at sounding out letters/words.  She loves school, naturally, because she thrives in it.  She has started gymnastics again at Gymminney Kids. She and I went watch the Fierce Five live and had such a blast. She was so excited to see Golden Gabby.  She LOVES gymnastics.  She has had a big growth spurt, because all of her cute summer dresses barely cover her backside now.  I would not ever say she is tall, but she is definately tallers. She weighs 42 pounds and is just growing like a weed.  She is learning how to read and currently is loving the Fairy Princess book series.   She loves to draw pictures and give them as gifts still. She is really good at drawing.  Adelyn is such a sweetheart and I am continually amazed at how aware of others she is even at her young age.  She thinks of ways to help me, Boston and others around her in ways a teenager does not even think of.  She is so kind and sweet.  Boston absolutely adores her.... as do I.  Love her to pieces!

Boston

Boston is still getting used to Adelyn being at school.  He has such a hard time when we drop her off.  He gets really quiet for about a half hour after.  He misses his best friend.  We have started Musikgarden, which is a little class he takes to teach beats, rhythem, and songs.  He really enjoys music and loves the class.  He also has a playgroup with a bunch of kids he goes to once a week.  He is all about playing outside anytime he possibly can.  He loves to play baseball and basketball, play with trucks, and we finally got him some "boy dress ups" (cops, superman cape, etc.) so he won't have to dress up in Adelyn's dress ups anymore.  He loves books and his favorite story is Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss.  When he actually tries the food in the story and likes it, Boston gets a HUGE smile on his face and laughs....everytime!  It is so cute.  He loves to watch Curious George.  And he will drink juice of anykind anytime.  The other day he stuck a quarter down his mouth, just like his daddy did.  But luckily he was able to get it out of his throat before it went to  far down and ended up in an emergency room like his dad.  We are working on potty training.  He went potty for two days straight with no accidents, then decided he was done and peed his pants 6 times, yes 6 times, in an hour.  We are back to square one and I think I am just going to have to be as persistant as he is on this one!  He weighs 32 pounds, but really is beginning to thin out.  He is just a solid boy. This will be a plus when he is a football player, right!  He loves to watch football with his daddy and Travis calls him his "little linebacker."   Love this boy!

Spooky Sea World

Elmo's flying fish ride

Adelyn had the day off of school, so my friend Kirstin and I decided to take our kids to Sea World for the day.  We were pleasantly surprised to see Sea World was decorated for Halloween!  The kids were so excited.  We were able to see ELMO, Ernie and Pete the Penguin.  Boston was amazed he was able to see ELMO!  He went twice to get his picture with him, after he had run up to hug Elmo during someone else's photo shoot.  After our last picture he went back to give ELMO another hug.  He was so excited.  Adelyn had the time of her life on the many rides and the kids playland area.  They have an obstacle course she went on three times.  Getting our Season passes has definately paid for itself and it is so fun to just load up and go anytime.  We will miss this when we move.... whenever that my be!

Happy 7 Years

Travis and I have been married for SEVEN years today!  I am so in love with this guy, and I just keep learning more about him and falling harder for him.  He surprised me last night and took me on a HOT AIR BALLOON ride over San Diego.  I had no idea we were going!  The weather was perfect and the view over the ocean at sunset was romantic and serreal.  We went over some famous peoples homes (or should I say castles) like Bill Gates, Bill's moms, Jenny Craig and a famous fighter to name a few.  I was so surprised and now I am able to cross off another thing on my bucket list.   It was so memorable and fun!  I love you Travis!  Thanks for making #7 so great and memorable!!
