Articles of Faith

Our ward here encouraged all the primary children to "pass off" their articles of faith. We are a little late in the year, but Adelyn is such a smarty pants we decided we would embark on the challange. Here she is... it took her 2 times of reciting it after scripture reading.... Just saying... Yes Im bragging.....she is so SMART!!!!

Tangled

We have been counting down for Tangled to come out. Yesterday we got up and out of the house by 9:00 am (this is good for us lately) and headed to Walmart to buy the DVD. Adelyn said we had to get there early because all the copies were going to be gone. She was very insistant. There were a bzillion copies there still and luckily we got our copy of Tangled. We invited Adelyns friends Kaitlyn and Eden, and Makani. We also invited the Rodolico boys but they had family in town and could not come. We made a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and multi-colored sprinkles on it (Adelyns all time fav) and we had fruit kabobs. We bought princess plates, cups, and napkins and a little Princess decoration. The kids came over.... and what do you know? They didnt even end up watching Tangled. They just played for about 2 hours. Oh well. It made it fun for Adelyn to get so hyped up about the movie. We did watch the movie last night and this morning already.

Greetings

Boston is now 13 months old. The past 2 mornings when I go in to get him to take him out of the crib I get a HUGE SMILE and he says "HIIII" plain and clear. It melts my heart and makes me smile. I love when they are so excited to see you in the morning:)

Mets vs Braves Spring Training

Today we were able to the Mets/Braves game in Port St. Lucie. It was a blast. We were hoping to get tickets to our beloved Red Sox, but they had already played them here before we came across the country. It was a nice 78 degrees with about 100 percent humidity, but we had so much fun. Boston was clapping and screaming and laughing. Adelyn was able to find some boys next to her to flirt with and then some girls to play with on the grass at the side. She was given a "finger" but I mistakenly gave it to the boys next to us.... so we had to buy her a little pink Mets bat. The Mets won the game... the Braves had quite a few errors.... 3 within the first 3 innings. Good thing its just spring training for them I guess. Anyway.... that was our adventure this week~~

Kids Update

I wasnt able to post updates on the kids last month due to the craziness of packing, moving, driving, and getting settled again. I am determined to get it done this month.
Adelyn is adjusting well to Florida. She misses her friends like crazy though. She especially misses her Gabby friend. I had no idea the two of them were going to be lifelong friends, but they miss each other so much. Gabby's mom tell me she asks for Addy about once a day. Addy does the same here and asks when we can see Gabby. I thought at this age, out of sight out of mind.... but luckily tis not so! We definately keep in touch with them. She has made some new friends... specifically Kaitlyn. She is the only little girl in Addys primary class with her. They are good friends and play fabulously together. It is nice to have a little girl here...seeing how most of the kids her age here are girls. We got gym passes and they have a kids playland there which she LOVES to go to. There are always lots of kids there and big slides so she looks forward to the gym (wished I did). She has had a growth spurt I swear since we left. She seems taller and now weighs 35 pounds. Her hair is getting long also. Trying to debate on keeping growing it out or cutting it. Her new favorite food is grapes but she still loves oatmeal every morning. She started dance/gymnastics class this week. She was so excited. She has AWESOME balance. She practically ran across the balance beam, and of course was totally in her element in dance class. She caught up really fast to the dance really fast. She loves to make everyone laugh... especially Boston. NO ONE can make him laugh like she can. She tells everyone everything about her....We had to talk to her about this and made three rules. To tell people her name
1. Trav or I had to be with her
2. We had to know the persons mom or dad
3. We have to know their name
Its hard because she is so cute and friendly and I want her to be friendly and social, yet its kinda hard to put boundries on it.
She gave her first talk already in our ward. She spoke on "A prophet speaks for our day." She did awesome and was not shy at all.
When we moved here she retracted back to baby talk. Drove me crazy. I think it was here way of exhibiting the changes happening and the little insecurities that come with such a big in life. She now has her "big girl" voice back. YAH! She is just sunshine to be around. I love her so much.

Boston is 13 months now. I am sad I couldnt post 12 months but here we go. Boston has turned into a big boy within the last month or so. At 13 months he is walking all the time now. I am glad. I think all the travel for a week in car without walking held him back a little so I was so grateful when my mom came out and helped push him to walk. He's a pro now... but into everything!!!! He got his 3 tooth (first top tooth) on our drive out here. Last week he got his 4th tooth (2nd tooth on top). He is talking a lot also. Yes my head is spinning with him being such a talker and his sister also. He says: Im gonna get cha, Thank you, Addy, mommy, dad, look at this (and points with his finger), I love you or love you, grandma, grandpa, he tries to do the letters in the alphabet, and then of course a ton of babble in between all the words. He is BUSY and all over the place. My kids are very active people, so it keeps me on my toes. He weighs 24 pounds, but with all the walking, I swear he is thinning out. We are trying to wean him from the bottle still... that's our next big feat. He just seems so big to me all the sudden. Out of the baby phase....so sad but exciting.

My Moms Trip to Florida

My mom came to Florida and stayed with us for a week last week. It was so WONDERFUL to have her here. It was so fun to just spend time with her. Here are some highlights of the trip.

Boston started walking on his own.... like 14 steps. He is offically walking. And he talked a lot.

Travis gave Boston a hot dog to eat and he loved it. My mom asked him what did you eat. I swear he said "hot dog".

He learned to say "tickle, tickle".

Addy and my mom collected a lot of seashells.

We planted flower pots for my house. Yeah!

We went to Orlando Temple. Its beautiful! We did initories and part was in Spanish.

We finally gave Boston a hair cut. He looks so grown up.

Travis and I were actually able to go on a date. We went bowling. So fun to spend time just us again. Forgot what that was like.

My mom and I went and got the best pedicures ever.

We went to Cocoa Beach. It was later in the afternoon and kinda cold so we only stayed for about an hour. The beach has TONZ of seashells though.

We went to a place called Round Island. There are Manatees here in the river, but we never saw one. We did though get very close to a Pelican. They are huge birds. It is intercoastal in Florida.... meaning the ocean is literally on one side of the road and a river on the other side of the street. We went to both the river and the ocean.

Went shopping and I got a new swimsuit.... YEAH~!!!!

Adelyn absolutely loved having Grandma here. When we took her to the airport, Addy started to cry as we pulled up. Then we went inside and she had a complete emotional breakdown just bawling. The lady trying to help get mom her ticket asked Adelyn why she was crying. She said "because my Grandma is leaving". She honestly cried for about an hour. It was heartbreaking and of course made me into a waterfall of tears also. I learned yesterday that it is easier to be the one leaving then to be the one left. Maybe thats why missionaries cant see family while on mission. Today I feel like I am an ocean away. I didnt have that feeling before. I am so glad she came out though. It was awesome to have a familar face and a friend. We had a blast. Pics are on Travs phone, so when he tranfers them I will share them.

Thanks MOM for the memories. We loved having you here!!!

Carnival

We went to the County Carnival a couple weeks ago and I finally got he pictures from Travs phone to post.  It was so fun. The kids had a blast. It was just a like a regular fair, except for the pay 5 dollars to see the biggest Alligator, the fattest pig, the longest lizard.... needless to say we did not participate in those activities!

The rest of the day seemed to be this hectic. As you can tell, Boston was confused by the whirlwind of what was going on so early in the morning. Adelyn was thrilled.

It was so cool to see the launch. Wished we could have been closer, but not willing to get up that early to drive to see it, especially since the night before there was only a 70 percent chance it would go off.
