Halloween Day 2012

To start the day off, I made my kids a Halloween breakfast.

Then we all got ready for Adelyn's Literary Halloween parade at the school.  All grades of the school walk around the outside of the classrooms, so the parents and all the other students could see each others costumes as well.  Boston was not missing out on dressing up as you can see.

Then Boston went to some friends house to play while I went and helped with Adelyn's class Halloween party.  They painted pumpkins, made bats with puff paint and stickers, made spider foods, and did a parent mummy wrap.  We had tonz of snacks for the kids to eat as well.

Adelyn had gymnastics, so they took pictures cause some of the kids were still dressed up.  The girls by her are her BFF's from school, Megan and McKenzie.

Finally, after dinner we went Trick or Treating in High Country West with our friends the Ehman's and the Jenkins families.  Besides getting more candy than any of us could ever eat, we saw two haunted houses (G Rated).  However the Ehman girls got pretty wigged out by the teeny bopper zombies so due to tears being shed we had to leave.  As you can see, Adelyn had yet another costume change for day as well. I think this was her third outfit change for the day.  She was a Fairy Ballerina.

So to sum it up here are some pictures I took with Instagram!

It was a Happy Halloween Day!

My Parents Came To Visit

My parents came and stayed with us for about 5 days.  We were all in 7th heaven.  We went to a pumpkin patch, which had the biggest pumpkins I have ever seen in mylife.  At the patch we also went on a tractor hayride and did a corn maze where the kids have to find the stamps and stamp their paper throughout the maze.  It was such a blast.  And we of course got our pumpkins to bring home.  We went to Coronado beach and saw a man who makes sandcastles for a living.  It was incredible to see how big and detailed his works were.  We went inside the "haunted" Coronado Hotel, to use the bathroom of course.  We shopped and ate out way too much, but mostly laughed.  The kids were plotting how they could each go home with my parents and stay in Parowan. Adelyn decided since she was in school full time, she could just go to school with Grandpa for the day.  Boston just knew he wanted to be where ever "Gump, or Grump, or Granp" was.  He kept calling my Dad those names and my mom he called "Gram".  Adelyn got her birthday present from them which was a kidszoom camera she has been craving for a couple of months now.  The worst part about living here is being so far from family.  Hopefully soon we can be moving back and we can see more family. For now, we are having fun making memories with family that comes out to visit!

San Diego Air Show

We went to the San Diego Air Show that we have been eagerly anticipating since we came here.  The Air Show is supposed to the best in the world, and I would agree.  The planes flew low right in front of the audience going forward and back, up and down, and slowly turning around so you could get a good look of the planes.  We got to see some planes we had not seen in the other two (Hill Air Force and Las Vegas) airshows.  Keeping with tradition, they had the carnival set up for the kids, so Adelyn and Boston had as much fun as Travis did!  I told Boston a while ago that Travis builds planes, so he thought Travis built these planes and wondered when we could ride in them.  We tried to explain Dad didn't build those planes, but I think he is still convinced his Dad makes F22's..... Trav is convinced he wants to build a F22.

Boston wanted me to take a picture of him by our house before we went to the store.  That's how many pics we take I guess.....

Fall in Utah

We went up to Ryley's baptism and spend my Mom's birthday with her.  This was the first time in 2 years we have been to Utah in the fall, so naturally, we spent some time up in the mountains looking at the colorful leaves.  I was so glad to be there for Ryley's baptism.  I cannot believe she is 8.  Jamie did a great job and then we spent the evening at Monica's house.  It was so great to see her and her family.  Boston had such a blast playing with Daltyn and his many boy toys, and Adelyn and Ryley had such a blast riding Ryley's scooter.  I forgot to get a picture of Ryley:(  It was nice to spend the weekend with my Mom for her birthday as well, even though she got the flu and was sick.  It was a quick trip, but it is always so much fun for us to go to Utah.
