September Update

September in a nutshell.

Adelyn

Adelyn is getting used to going to school and getting used to Mrs. Traverso, her teacher.  She LOVED Mrs. Reid and Mrs. Traverso has a different way of doing things, so it has taken Adelyn a little bit longer to like her teacher.  She has made a ton of friends (no surprise there) specifically Anndalyn, Yoslene, Audrie, Gabby.  She loves to watch Curious George and her teacher has her classroom themed around Curious George this year.  Her teach said to me "I love teaching Adelyn.  She is so curious about everything."  And she is.  She loves to learn. Adelyn now writes her name in lower case rather than upper case, is writing numbers, and she is a rockstar at sounding out letters/words.  She loves school, naturally, because she thrives in it.  She has started gymnastics again at Gymminney Kids. She and I went watch the Fierce Five live and had such a blast. She was so excited to see Golden Gabby.  She LOVES gymnastics.  She has had a big growth spurt, because all of her cute summer dresses barely cover her backside now.  I would not ever say she is tall, but she is definately tallers. She weighs 42 pounds and is just growing like a weed.  She is learning how to read and currently is loving the Fairy Princess book series.   She loves to draw pictures and give them as gifts still. She is really good at drawing.  Adelyn is such a sweetheart and I am continually amazed at how aware of others she is even at her young age.  She thinks of ways to help me, Boston and others around her in ways a teenager does not even think of.  She is so kind and sweet.  Boston absolutely adores her.... as do I.  Love her to pieces!

Boston

Boston is still getting used to Adelyn being at school.  He has such a hard time when we drop her off.  He gets really quiet for about a half hour after.  He misses his best friend.  We have started Musikgarden, which is a little class he takes to teach beats, rhythem, and songs.  He really enjoys music and loves the class.  He also has a playgroup with a bunch of kids he goes to once a week.  He is all about playing outside anytime he possibly can.  He loves to play baseball and basketball, play with trucks, and we finally got him some "boy dress ups" (cops, superman cape, etc.) so he won't have to dress up in Adelyn's dress ups anymore.  He loves books and his favorite story is Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss.  When he actually tries the food in the story and likes it, Boston gets a HUGE smile on his face and laughs....everytime!  It is so cute.  He loves to watch Curious George.  And he will drink juice of anykind anytime.  The other day he stuck a quarter down his mouth, just like his daddy did.  But luckily he was able to get it out of his throat before it went to  far down and ended up in an emergency room like his dad.  We are working on potty training.  He went potty for two days straight with no accidents, then decided he was done and peed his pants 6 times, yes 6 times, in an hour.  We are back to square one and I think I am just going to have to be as persistant as he is on this one!  He weighs 32 pounds, but really is beginning to thin out.  He is just a solid boy. This will be a plus when he is a football player, right!  He loves to watch football with his daddy and Travis calls him his "little linebacker."   Love this boy!
