This year for Thanksgiving we ate at our house with the Youngs. It was exciting to have it at our house and it was wonderful to spend time with the family. We are so grateful for all we have been blessed and as a a family we love this season to think about all our blessings.
I cannot believe my oldest is 7 years OLD! Time is going to so fast. Addy wanted to have a "tea party" for her friends party this year, and even though we just moved here 3 months ago she had 8 friends come. She makes friends so easily.... its a gift and a talent of hers. Ayda, Erica, Payslie, Peschani, Allie, Jaylee, McKayla, and Shantell all came. The girls all dressed up in dresses and some even wore hats. It was adorable. We had a light little lunch (crackers and snacks) with lemonade and water. The girls then painted their own little teacup with small plate. We opened presents and then got ready to eat the cake. I asked Adelyn to hold the cake so I could take a picture and the next thing I know..... the cake lands face first on the floor!! She started to cry and I comforted her and laughed. All the girls started to laugh and then so did Addy. Luckily I had another cake on hand so we just ate the rest of that cake. The girls played for a bit and then it was time to go home. I think they all had fun.
I love Addy so much and learn so much from her. Mostly I learn to just slow down and enjoy life. She is laughing all the time, busy all the time, and she is so tenderhearted and kind. She draws pictures for those she loves constantly and makes any craft or art she can at anytime.... and then gives them generously away. She expresses her love for others often and is so kind to others. She sticks up for other kids in her class at her own expense because she knows it is right. She is really good at Math (it comes so naturally) and has had to work hard at reading but is determined to get it. She gets 100 percent on all of her spelling tests and she is good at science. I am so grateful I have the opportunity to be her mom. She is such a shining star whereever she goes. I love her more than words can express. Happy Birthday Adelyn!
