August FUN!

We made a list of "things to do" for the summer before school started up again.  We had done most everything on the list, except make Peanut Butter Playdough.  So we spent an afternoon making the dough, playing with the dough, and yes, even eating the dough.  Here are the most adorable kids and their cute playdough creations!!

There was a water pipe that broke right outside our house, and as a result we had the funnest water park around.  The kids had such a blast and were drenched by the time we were done.

There is a little train station here and our kids LOVE to go and ride the trains.  We went one Saturday afternoon on the trains and decided to have a little "photo shoot" while we were there with our kids.  Enjoy the pictures!

Birch Aquarium- birthday Part 3

We decided to go to Birch Aquarium before we took Grandpa Darrell back to the airport.  We had never been and it was on our "to do list" while we are here in San Diego. It was AWESOME!!!!  The kids absolutely loved it. They had so many activities for them to do.  The kids got to touch all sorts of fish found in  San Diego waters.  I never knew there were so many different kinds of starfish or a cucumber fish.  It was so  fun and was such a learning adventure.  We got to see real eels, sharks of every kinds, jellyfish of every kind, giant piranhas, etc.  They also have playland outside for the kids, and both Adelyn and Boston spent most of their concentrated time having little boat races.  It is a must see when family and friends come out next time.  We were so surprised and we loved it!!

Adelyn made this "table" to eat her lunch on.  Boston was in the other chair, but couldn't keep him sitting in a chair at the beach.  She is such an engineer (smart) like her daddy!

Grandpa Darrell was able to come out and stay with us for a couple of days which was an awesome gift for Travis.  Travis and Darrell decided they wanted to go surfing.  So we went to Moonlight beach, they rented some surf boards, and we played in the sun all day.  Travis is such a stud!  He got up on the surf board his first time and I took the kids over to watch Dad and Grandpa surf.  The kids were so excited to see Travis surfing!  We were cheering on the shore and all these people were laughing at us, but we didnt care.  It was so cool to see.  Travis really is such a beach bum.... and as you will see, me and the kids are following his lead.

Travs 29th Birthday Part 1

Travis celebrated his last birthday in the 20's this year!!  We were blessed to have Grandpa Darrell come and celebrate Trav's birthday for the weekend.  We will start with opening presents, the cake, all the traditional birthday pictures first.   The kids and I decorated the house before he came home from work on Friday.  They each made a sign with glitter glue on poster board.  Adelyn's sign said Happy Birthday Travis! and was taped on to the front door.  Boston's sign said We Love You and was taped on the wall in the living room where he would see it when he first walked in.

Can I just say....I am the luckiest girl of all time to have this man as my husband!
