June Update

Boston at 16 Months
We will start with Boston this time.  Boston is getting a little temper.  Lucas kept saying he is just so chill.  Oh what I would give to have that "chill" boy again.  On the plus side, I have been very nervous cuz I hadnt seen any tears from his eyes yet.  At a dr. appt. I asked the Dr. about it.  He said it is common for blonde hair, blue eyed kids with Scandonavian decent to have dry eyes and other eye problems.  Yesterday though, Boston cried tears that rolled down his cheeks.  I have never been so happy to see tears.  He biffed it the other day when he decided to climb up on his car on the lanolium in the kitchen and while my head was turned, he fell on his face. His mouth started bleeding excessively.  I was calm, but worried.  His mouth kept bleeding so I took him to Urgent Care to make sure he hadnt screwed up his teeth.  His tooth had bit his lip and it was bleeding and he hit the gums in between his two front teeth.  His nose was also pretty red for a couple of days.  I cannot believe how big he is though.  He now nods yes, instead of no all the time.  He says mama, dada, thank you, welcome, uh ow, Addy, ymmm huh, look, baseball, hey, and he points at everything he wants. It seems to us that he can say a lot of things, but doesn't. I have been trying to not give him what he wants til he asks, but then he will just walk away from it.  He puts his hands in the air when you say touch down.  He loves to play with baseballs, basketball, and he likes to figure out how things work. He eats like a tank. He is in 18 month clothes and has been since he was 12 months.  He has most of his teeth on the top and about 6 on bottom.  He has found his boy part:) He will say "tickle tickle".  Silly boy.  He loves to play duck, duck, goose (oh yeah, those are words he says too). He honestly eats more than Addy. He talks a lot, but most of it is mumble jumble still.  Oh how I love this big boy.

Adelyn is my little princess. She is currently in swim lessons.  It has been quite the drama session.  She has cried almost every day trying to muster up courage to jump off edge to Sonja.  However, last Wednesday was Sonjas birthday and Addy decided she was not going to cry as a present to Sonja.  She jumped off the side 5 times without crying.   She is a very capable girl, but all things done in HER own timing.  I think Sonja might be pushing her too hard.    Her new favorite thing to play is "Say yes to the dress."  We love to watch the show together and critique the dresses.  She will dress up in her dress-ups and then "pull the curtain back" and we will discuss what we like and dont like about the dress.  She has made some great grown up friends here that shower her with gifts, just like her Grandma's did when we were there. Mary Volsky and Mally from the gym have filled such a void that no other could fill.  She adores them, and if we can't have Grandma's here, they will do.  She will pass off Article of Faith number 11 this week.  She has the memory of an elephant.  She is amazingly smart.  She had her first gymnastics and her 2nd dance recital earlier this month.  She is such a talented girl and it is so fun to watch her perform.  I love her and it has been so fun to be home with her. I have learned so much more about her and get to play more with her.  I cant believe she will be in school in September, crazy!!
