Palasades

Chase invited everyone in the family to come and camp at Palasades.  We weren't sure if we were going to be able to go, but the twins have been doing so well and Addy and Boston really wanted to go, so we loaded up everything we owned (it seemed) and went.  Addy and Boston had a blast playing in the water with Travis.  They went on peddleboats and made sandcastles.  Emmy and Max did really well too!  Max slept clear through the night for the first time while we were there.  I was incredibly grateful for Monica and Jamie's 5th wheel trailer though because during the day it got extremely hot so we just hung out in the trailer with Kenzey.  She has been really sick this summer.  We made great memories there and although it wasn't a grand adventure for a summer vacay, it was fun to do something still this summer.  It was fun to get together with most of the family also. This picture shows what our car is now going to look like when we go on vacations with 4 kids. I am living the dream!!!

2 months old

Emmy and Max are 2 months old and were blessed this month! They are starting to get their own facial features as well which is fun to see.  They each started to recognize me and Travis.  Emmy weighs 8 Ibs even and is 20 1/4 inches long.  Max weighs 7 Ibs 4 oz. and is 20 inches long.  They celebrated their first holiday since they were born.... the 4th of July.  They are really great babies and spend the majority of the time sleeping.  I am still nursing but thinking I will be done soon as it is almost time for school to start and nursing with 2 other kids in school will make me crazy.  Love these 2!

BLESSED

The twins were blessed by Travis on Sunday.  The blessings were so sweet and wonderful.  Unfortunately no one wrote them down.  I remember that Emmy and Max were both blessed they would marry in the temple. Emmy was blessed as a wife and mother.  Max was blessed that he would have great faith and blessed as a missionary.  But I don't remember much else.  It makes me sad.  We had both had bot our parents and all of our siblings there except Sterling which meant a lot to each of us to have so much support.  We had a dinner after at our house in our backyard.  I had Kim make a cake.  We feel so blessed to have these special spirits in our lives and our homes.  I feel they each have such strong, wise spirits.  I am so grateful for the Priesthood and the many blessings it brings to our family.  I am grateful for Travis who is consistently worthy of the priesthood and I feel he was truly inspired.  The spirit was so strong when he was blessing them.  Both Travis and I felt inspired to bear our testimonies. Travis bore his on the divinity of Jesus Christ.  Jenny and Max Sorenson also blessed their twins that day which was kind of special to have two sets of twins.  She was 7 weeks pregnant before me and the day she found out they were having twins was the day we found out we were pregnant.  My whole pregnancy I was watching her to see what was to come next so it was great to share our special day with them. We feel so overwhelmingly blessed to have such healthy, happy, strong spirits join our family.  Although it has only been a few months, it seems like they have always been a part of our family.  We are so grateful! 

4th of July

The kids rode their bikes in the annual 4th of July parade this year. I love this tradition because it really gives my kids something to look forward to.  Addy got nervous at all the people looking at her and by the time she got to us, she was in tears.  Boston drove his power wheels truck and Payton rode held onto a rope and rode his skateboard behind it.  Later that day we hung out with family and had a BBQ.   It was the twins first holiday as well. Here are some pictures!
