BIG NEWS!!!

We went to our ultrasound today and got a big surprise! We are having TWINS!!!  I really was not surprised to be honest.  I had been telling Travis since we found out we were expecting that we were having twins.  It was just one of the things that I knew already.  I got big so fast, was so sick, and could not get enough to eat even though I could not keep hardly any of it down.  When we walked into the doctor for our appointment at 7 weeks (today) he said to us "I haven't diagnosed twins today yet.  Trav and I both just kinda shrugged it off.  After looking for a heartbeat he said to us "what did I tell you when you came in?"  Travis and I were both afraid to answer.  He said.  There are TWO heartbeats!!! You are having twins.  Then he moved the screen so both Travis and I could see.  Travis was really shocked and I immediately said to Travis "I told you we are having twins!!"  Still to have it confirmed was relieving and overwhelming at the same time.  We are SOOOO excited!  We always said we wanted 5 kids and this gives us an actual chance to meet that dream of ours.  We are so excited!  We feel so blessed.  Here is the announcement Travis made to tell our friends and family.

Labor Day

We were able to spend in labor day with family this year.  Boston, Ty, and Adelyn rode their bikes in the parade and had a blast.  We went to the carnival which is always a treat for the kids.  As a family we went to the rodeo and both kids thought it was awesome.  This picture was taken while at the rodeo.  We spent some time with Aunt Avery who is preparing to go on her mission.  It was a rough go this day for Travis and I because I was on clomid and quite frankly was cra cra.  We decided this day that I needed to tell the Doctor at our next appointment in a few days that we needed to get off the clomid.

Preschool!!!

Boston has waited 2 years to go to his own school and the day is finally here.  He is so excited and there were no tears at the door or long goodbyes for this sad mama.  He even had me pack him a lunch in a lunchbox like I did for his older sister.  He is so excited to be like her.  I'm not sure he's excited to learn new things, just excited to do what he has seen his big sister do for so long while he had to wait home for her to come home to play.  I on the other hand am sad.  He is turning into a big boy and it seems like once they start preschool they are in school for the rest of the time they are living in my home.  I am excited to see his growth and watch him interact in a group of kids his age.  Love this little man of mine!

Our first FIRST GRADE!!

Adelyn is starting 1st Grade today!  She is growing up so fast.  She was so tired I had to wake her for school, which I could hardly believe.  As a kid I was always so excited/nervous that I could not sleep the night before.  She has no fear of being the new kid seeing how this will be her 3rd school..... she is over it.  I am so glad  her Kindergarten was all day in California so that would not be such an adjustment for she or I.  Boston and I miss her terribly when she is at school.  His best buddy is gone all. day. long and it kills him.  I am one of those moms who LOVES to have her kids home and around.  She will do great though and it helps that the neighbor girl is in her class as well as some of the girls she has met at church while we were here in the summer.  Here goes to another great year full of adventures!!!

Toothfairy

This big girl lost her first tooth!  Guess the toothfairy is in business at our house now.  She got 5 dollars for her first tooth and a note from the toothfairy saying she could keep her first lost tooth (which Travis was disgusted by).  Love these stages of life and as you can tell, she is so excited to enter this phase of her life.

Swimming Lessons

The kids took swimming lessons in Parowan while were we visting since we figured they are much cheaper than in San Diego and since the kids would be swimming a lot in SD, it was a good idea.  Especially for Boston who literally has no fear of  the water.  In fact he was put in a class that was with 7 and 8 year olds in the 3 foot, but he cant touch.  I had to corral him to the stairs and I NEVER left the side of the pool where he was.  The teacher, the lifeguards, and I were always stressed about him, but he just wanted to swim in the water.  He dives into the water, holds his breath, and actually swims under water..... but then he doesnt know how to keep afloat when he comes up for air.  Adelyn was an over-acheiver as usual and had a blast. She also of course made some friends immediately so class was social time for her as well.  The best part of swim lessons for each of them though was jumping off the diving board.  I love they have some memories in the same place I have my greatest summer memories.... the P town pool.

Sister Veater

My awesome niece Avery has made the decision to go on a mission and we were lucky enough to be there when she opened her call.  She is going to Mexico City, Mexico.  She is so excited and we are thrilled for her.  She leaves the week before Thanksgiving.  She will make such a great missionary and is such a good example for so many of us around her.  I have such a special place in my heart for the Veater girls.  I spent some time living with him and have always had a unique bond with each of them.  So proud of her..... even though we will miss her like crazy.  I love that she has the confidence, will power, and determination to follow through with what she knows and believes is right.  It will be awesome to have a missionary in the family again. Sister Veater ......has such a good sound to it.
