Pink and Blue Butterflies?!

So Adelyn had been feeling sick and I had taken her to the doctor on Tuesday morning. She had a virus...which I was relieved a bit with all the strep, mono, and RSV circulating in town here. She took a nap and when she woke up her cheeks were beet read. She was whiny also, so I took her temperature. I was shocked when the thermometer said 105! I gave her motion ASAP. I was rocking her in the chair. All of the sudden she said "look at the pink butterflies. And blue ones. We have butterflies in our house." I immediately called the doctor. They said it was normal to kids to hallucinate when they have a fever that high. I gave her a cold compress and within 15 minutes her temperature was on its way down. I was truly scared though. She is back up and lively as ever. I am so glad!

They are so Wise!

I have been trying to potty train Addy for months now. Not going well. The other day within 2 hours she peed twice in panties and pooped once. I was trying so hard to not show how frustrated I was. Addy looked at me and this was our conversation
Addy: Who are you Mom?
Mom: I am your Mom
Addy: No. You are a child of God. And so am I!

Congratulations Bro!

So my awesome brother "c" fought his first ultimate fight his weekend and the stud WON (of course). Love ya and are proud of you.

Hair Cut

A friend of mine who cuts hair cut Adelyns hair and thankfully her mullet is gone. Here are before and after shots. I kept thinking the front would grow out to the back of her hair, but it never did. Her new cut makes her look like shes in her 20's and is very cute. Thanks Nicole!

A Child's Prayer

Last night we were getting ready for bed and I walked in to Adelyns room and she was sitting by the bed kneeling and talking to herself. I asked her what she was doing. She looked up at me and said "Im sayin prayer mom." My heart melted. What a sweetheart!

Shes Only 2... Promise!

So I should just put all of Adelyns funny sayings in a column at the side of my blog like others because she comes up with another one every day. Instead.. for journaling purposes I am going to jot some of her latest ones down

1. "You are such a cute little Grandma" she said to my mom after she asked her if she wanted to go shopping.

2. "I am married". She gets my wedding bouquet and puts a blanket on her head and walks around. To which her Dad replies "Not for at least 20 more years"

3. I ask, "what did you dream about " after she wakes up. She answers "Chubby (our friend who we love dearly) and the temple." Oh no!

4. She is singing songs now. Her favorite is the alphabet. She only forgets TUV. Pretty good I think. She also loves "Jesus wants me for a sunbeam and I love to see the temple. She sings those all by herself now.

5. Today Adelyn and I were just laughin and playin. I was laying on the bed and Adelyn said to me "just lay there mom". She crept up to me with her fingers in a pinching motion. She then said "it will be just a little poke" and she touched my ear. She said this because she hates when I put earrings in her ears and that it what I say to her before I put them in.
