The Last Launch

We were able to get somewhat close to the last space shuttle launch in History.  We ended up at a beach in Melbourne, which is about 30 minutes from the launch site.  It was so cool to see this huge streak of light climb into the sky.... and the clouds as you can see. After about 5 minutes after launch time you hear this loud boom which was a sonic boom.  So cool.   It was really cloudy and there was only a 30 percent chance it would go, which is why we didnt leave earlier to get there (we did that b4).  After the launch we enjoyed some beach time at Paradise beach and watched some surfers.
Waiting.....
Looking at our phone for the countdown
Waiting......
Waiting some more.....
Can you see the light?  Looked a lot bigger in real time.
Subway. Such a happy girl
Destroying anything he can!

I was thinking of you as I saw the launch on tv. You are so lucky! I am jealous you got to see it. How completely wonderful!
